What are others' policies and procedures regarding Refusals for Blood Products after receiving Informed Consent? Do you require the surgeon sign, acknowledging that s/he knows of the refusal? Do you require the surgeon or other staff to speak with the patient about their refusal? Any opinions on what you think best practice to be?
