We alert Security of inpatient forensic admits via Patient Registration. In morning organizational Debriefing it is announced to department leaders the location of the forensic patient. Security is responsible for giving officers the Study Packet for Forensic Personal and a copy of our Patient Rights and Responsibility . We are not alerting security and Nurse Supervisors of scheduled out-patient forensic patient visits.
Questions:
1. How are you alerting Leaders and Security of inpatient forensic
patients?
2. Have you implemented an alert system for outpatient forensic
patients?
(If so how do you communicate when the patient appears for
outpatient services and what is your protocol)?
3. Do you also give a copy of Patient Rights and Responsibility to
the forensic patien
